The Cougar NBA tracker: Brandon Davies, game 55

Apparently the break over All-Star weekend wasn’t long enough for the Philadelphia 76ers because they didn’t show up on Tuesday night in Cleveland.  Thanks to a horrible shooting performance, the Cavaliers easily dispatched the Sixers 114-85.  Philadelphia shot just 35.6 percent from the field which included 22.7 percent from 3-point range.  They weren’t much better from the free-throw either where they missed nine of 27 attempts.

Tyler Zeller led The way for Cleveland with 18 points and 15 rebounds while the Canadian pair of Anthony Bennett and Tristan Thompson each chipped in with a double-double.

Thaddeus Young and Michael Carter-Williams contributed 15 points a piece for Philadelphia while Evan Turner added 11 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Brandon Davies is still out of action recovering from finger surgery.

The 76ers will be back in action on Friday night when they face the Dallas Mavericks at home.
