The Jazz have their last game before the All-Star break tonight as the Philadelphia 76ers come to town in a battle for ping-pong balls.
If the Jazz get beat it will be one of the most embarrassing regular season losses in franchise history.
Not because there is anything on the line either. In fact, a loss might be better in the long run for Utah, especially after the jazz beat up on the Lakers last night in Los Angeles.
The reason why it would be so embarrassing is because of how awful the 76ers are right now. Philadelphia is playing their third game in four nights on the road after playing the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday and the Golden State Warriors on Monday. Philadelphia lost those two games by a combined 88 points. What is sad is that neither game was as close as the final score. The 76ers just got destroyed in outrageous fashion.
Against the Clippers, Philly was down 46-15 after the first quarter and it got worse from there.
The game against Golden State the following night wasn’t any better. Philadelphia was down by as many as 49 points during the fourth quarter in that one.
If the Jazz can’t beat a team that is slumping so badly then adding a piece or two in the draft won’t solve all the ills that Utah is facing.
