Behind a monster performance from Rudy Gay, the Sacramento Kings crushed New Orleans 114-97 on Tuesday night. Gay scored 41 points on 16-of-25 shooting and 5-of-8 shooting from 3-point range. Gay also grabbed eight rebounds and handed out five assists in 42 minutes of play. The Kings also got double-doubles from DeMarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas in the win. Cousins put up 18 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, three steals and four blocks while Thomas registered 20 points, 11 assists and three steals.
Tyreke Evans led five Pelicans in double figures with 17 points. He was joined by Anthony Davis who finished with 16 points to go along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Jimmer played only 7:28 and finished with five points on 2-of-3 shooting while making his only 3-point attempt. Fredette also tallied a blocked shot.
The Kings are back in action tomorrow night as they travel to Houston to take on the Rockets.
