I am so sick of so many people talking about how Alabama did not care about the Sugar Bowl and that is why they lost.  Why do people continue to make excuses every time the Crimson Tide lose a game?  When they lost to Auburn it was just a fluke.  Oklahoma beats them because they didn’t want to be there (like in 2009 when they got thumped by the University of Utah).  That is just a bunch of garbage.  You can’t tell me that AJ McCarron was just going to sandbag it in the last game of his college career.  I don’t buy that notion for one single second.  Nick Saban is a great coach, but he isn’t the only one.  Bob Stoops isn’t too bad himself.  The Crimson Tide have a roster loaded with talent, but Oklahoma isn’t lacking either.  They have plenty of NFL level players too.

Heaven forbid we give another team or another coach credit for having a good game plan and executing it just the way they planned.  We don’t have to make excuses when that happens.  The reason they lost is because Oklahoma was the better team last night and that was all that mattered.  If Nick Saban and Alabama don’t want that to happen again then maybe they just need to play better.  It’s that simple.  Whatever the case may be it is time for fans and talking heads alike to just let them own it and move on.
