Tyreke Evans had a monster game in his return to Sacramento as the Pelicans beat the Kings 113-100.
Evans played 35 minutes off the bench and finished with 25 points, 12 assists, six rebounds and three steals.
Two other Pelicans had double-doubles in Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday. Davis had 21 points and 11 rebounds while Holiday finished the night with 17 points, ten assists, five rebounds and two steals.
The Kings were led by DeMarcus Cousins who finished with 24 points and 14 rebounds. He was joined in double figures by Isaiah Thomas, Marcus Thornton and Rudy Gay.
Thomas put up 21 points to go along with five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Thornton came off the bench and scored 19 points in just under 30 minutes of play. Although Gay finished with 11 points, he really struggled on the night, shooting just 2-for-12 from the field and committing six turnovers.
As for Jimmer, he played fantastic in his 12:45 of action. Playing all of his minutes in the second and fourth quarters, Fredette shot 4-for-6 from the field and 1-for-2 from three-point range To finish The game with nine points. Jimmer also grabbed two rebounds, handed out two assists and registered one steal.
Even though he had just two assists, Fredette created plenty of scoring chances for the Kings which ended with made free throws.
He played with as much confidence as I have seen from him in a long time even though the Kings got beat.
The Kings have three days off before they are back on the floor on Friday night when they take on the Heat.
