The Cougar NBA tracker: Brandon Davies, game 22

Brandon Davies set a new career high in scoring, but it wasnt enough as the shorthanded 76ers lost 94-83 to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Without the services of Michael Carter-Williams, Philadelphia had no answer for Chris Paul and the Clippers.  Paul scored 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting to go along with 13 assists and three steals.

Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan also had big game for the 18-8 Clippers. Griffin shot 9-of-14 from the field on his way to 25 points while grabbing eight rebounds and swatting away three shots.  Jordan did most of his damage on the glass snaring 21 boards to go along with 11 points.

The 76ers were led by Evan Turner who ended the night with 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

Davies had the biggest scoring output of his young career with five points on 2-of-5 shooting in 13 minutes on the floor while also nabbing three rebounds.

The loss was the 15th in 19 games for Philadelphia.  They will be back in action on Wednesday night as they travel to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves.
