Jimmer Fredette didn’t make it onto the floor for the second time in as many games as the Sacramento Kings fell in heartbreaking fashion to the Golden State Warriors on Sunday afternoon by a score of 115 to 113.
The Warriors were led by their starting back court of Klay Thompson and Steph Curry.
Thompson shot 8-of-11 from three-point range on his way to 28 points as well as registering three steals.
As good as Thompson was, Curry was even better. He shot 14-of-24 from the floor including 5-of-8 from three-point range on his way to 36 points, ten assists and three steals.
The Kings were led by DeMarcus Cousins who scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds in just over 20 minutes of play because of foul trouble.
They also got huge contributions off the bench from a handful of players.
Patrick Patterson made 8-of-8 field goal attempts on his way to 18 points as well as grabbing seven rebounds and handing out three assists.
Marcus Thorton also had a nice game of the bench, tallying 21 points.
Isaiah Thomas also had a big stat line even know he didn’t shoot the ball well. He finished with 19 points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals.
With the re-emergence of Thornton it is unclear the next time we’ll see Jimmer Fredette on the floor.
The Kings will be back in action on Tuesday night as they are at home to take on the 12-3 Oklahoma City Thunder.
