The Sacramento Kings were on the floor again Sunday afternoon and had the same result as six of their first eight games thanks to some brutal shooting.
In a game where the Sacramento guards shot just 20-for-55 from the field and 5-for-20 from the three-point line, Jimmer did not play for the seventh time this year.
The Memphis Grizzles were in town and took home a 97-86 victory behind impressive efforts by Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. Randolph shot 9-for-12 from the field and finished with 22 points to go along with ten rebounds. Gasol just missed out on a triple double with 19 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.
Sacramento relied on their bench most of the night as the starters combined to score just 29 points.
The Kings were led in scoring by Travis Outlaw who scored 18 points in 16 minutes.
It doesn’t make much sense when a player who was ranked in the top 20 in three-point percentage last season can’t get off the bench when no one in your back court is making any shots.
Fredette needs to be moved in a bad way. As low as his stock is right now, it will only get worse if he can’t get any minutes on a terrible team, and that is what is happening right now.
There are plenty of teams that would be a fit for Jimmer. Teams like Miami, San Antonio, Oklahoma City and Houston would be a great fit for his skills. Fredette would get plenty of open looks and be able to do what he does best; shoot the ball.
