Can anyone ever trust what the NCAA will ever do again after the decision that they passed regarding the Miami Hurricanes.
Does it really take you well over two years to figure out when you know already happened and leave with 9 scholarships over three years and a 5 game suspension for a departed basketball coach.
They messed up this whole situation from the start and didn’t make it any better with today’s ruling.

Don’t tell me that all of the hurricanes self-imposed sanctions can make up for all that went on with Nevin Shapiro. There is just no way that can be true.
I am not blind to the fact that college sports are big business but at some point rules have to be followed. If they aren’t we End up with nothing more than minor leagues with a bumbling governing body. I know that no one wants to see that transition either.
There has to be some way for boosters to get their hands out of the college game and the NCAA had the chance to make that happen. Because of their butchery of this whole episode they lost that chance. In the process it left the window open for other wanna-be celebrities and hangers-on to throw their money and power around to make themselves look like “The Man” to college athletes.
We needed to have the NCAA take a stand in this situation and they didn’t even come close.
What a sad day for college sports and for those schools that make sure that things are done in the right way.
