The NFL draft is just days away and there are a handful of Utah State players hoping to hear their name called in the three-day event.  Getting drafted with a high pick is a goal for many college players, but it doesn’t mean success will follow.

Here is a look at the most highly drafted Aggies and how their careers turned out.

25.  Will Davies: Davis was taken in the third round (93rd overall) by the Miami Dolphins in the 2013 draft.  Davis played five game with the Dolphins in ’13 and recorded eight tackles in his rookie season.

24.  Curtis Marsh: Marsh was taken in the third round (90th overall) by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2011 draft.  Marsh has played 26 games over three seasons with the Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals. His most productive season came with Philadelphia in ’12 when Marsh appeared in 15 games and registered 12 tackles.

23.  Eric Hipple:  Hipple was selected in the fourth round (85th overall) by the Detroit Lions in the 1980 draft.  Hipple played 102 games (57 starts) over nine seasons with the Lions.  His best statistical season came in 1985 when Hipple completed 54.9 percent of his passes for a career-high 2,952 yards and 17 touchdowns.

For his career, Hipple completed 53.7 percent of his passes for 10,711 yards and 55 touchdowns.  He also carried the ball 145 times for 550 yards and 13 more scores.

22.  Chris Cooley: Cooley was taken in the third round (81st overall) by the Washington Redskins in the 2004 draft.  The two-time Pro Bowler played in 116 games (103 starts) over nine seasons with Washington.  One of his best seasons came in 2007 when Cooley made the Pro Bowl for the first time after making 66 receptions for 786 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns.

For his career, Cooley finished with 429 catches for 4,711 yards and 33 touchdowns.

21.  Henry King:  King was selected In the third round (74th overall) by the New York Jets in the 1967 draft. King played only one season in the NFL.  He appeared in 13 games in ’67 with the Jets on the defensive side of the ball.

20.  Kevin Curtis: Curtis was taken in the third round (74th overall) by the St. Louis Rams in the 2003 draft.  Curtis played 81 games (36 starts) over eight season with the Rams, Philadelphia Eagles and the Miami Dolphins.  His best season came with the Eagles in 2007 when Curtis caught 77 passes for 1,110 yards and six touchdowns while starting all 16 games.

For his career, Curtis finished with 253 receptions for 3,297 and 20 receiving touchdowns.

19.  Rich Zecher:  Zecher was taken in the ninth round (67th overall) by the Oakland Raider in the 1965 AFL draft.  Zecher played 40 games (nine starts) over three seasons with the Raiders, Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills on the defensive line.

18.  Hal Garner: Garner was taken in the third round (63rd overall) by the Buffalo Bills in the 1985 draft.  Garner played in 67 games (two starts) over five-year career as a linebacker and recorded 1.5 sacks.

17.  Len Rohde: Rohde was taken in the fifth round (59th overall) by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1960 draft.  Rohde played 208 games (173 starts) over 15 seasons with San Francisco.  His best season came in 1970 when Rohde made his only Pro Bowl after starting 14 games as the Niners’ left tackle.

16.  Clark Miller: Miller was taken with in the fifth round (58th overall) by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1961 draft.  Miller played in 97 games (88 starts) over nine seasons with the 49ers, Washington Redskins and the Los Angeles Rams on the defensive line.

In his nine-year career, Miller accounted for one interception and five fumble recoveries including one he returned for a touchdown in 1965.

15.  Lionel Aldridge:  Aldridge was selected in the fourth round (54th overall) by the Green Bay Packers in the 1963 draft.  Aldridge appeared in 147 games (58 starts) over 11 seasons with the Packers and the San Diego Chargers on the defensive line.

During his career, Aldridge tallied 19 fumble recoveries including one returned for a touchdown.

14.  Jim Harris:  Harris was taken in the seventh round (52nd overall) by the New York Jets in the 1965 AFL draft.  Harris played 42 games (14 starts) over three seasons with the Jets on the defensive line.

13.  Bobby Wagner: Wagner was taken in the second round (47th overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2012 draft.  Wagner has appeared in 30 games (29 starts) in his first two years in Seattle and has been a huge part of its defensive success.

In his two-year career, Wagner has registered 260 tackles, seven sacks and five interceptions.

12.  Jim LeMoine: LeMoine was taken in the second round (42nd overall) by the Buffalo Bills in the 1967.  He appeared in 35 games over his three-year career for the Bills and the Houston Oilers as a tight end.

11.  Rulon Jones: Jones was taken in the second round (42nd overall) by the Denver Broncos in the 1980 draft.  Jones played in 129 games (99 starts) over nine seasons with the Broncos on the defensive line. His best statistical season came in 1986 when Jones recorded a career-high 13.5 sacks to earn his second trip to the Pro Bowl as well as earning First-Team All-Pro honors.

10.  Ron McCall: McCall was taken in the second round (40th overall) by the San Diego Chargers in the 1967 draft.  McCall played in five games over two season with the Chargers and recorded five career tackles.

9.  Spain Musgrove: Musgrove was taken in the second round (38th overall) by the Washington Redskins in the 1967 draft.  Musgrove appeared in 37 games over four seasons with the Redskins and the Houston Oilers on the defensive line.

8.  Altie Taylor: Taylor was selected in the second round (34th overall) by the Detroit Lions in the 1969 draft.  Taylor appeared in 102 games (80 starts) for the Lions and the Houston Oilers.  His most productive season came in 1971 when Taylor recorded 736 yards and four touchdowns rushing on 174 carries to go along with 26 receptions for 270 yards and another score with Detroit.

For his career, Taylor carried the ball 1,170 times for 4,308 yards and 24 touchdowns.  He also added 175 catches for 1,538 yards and six scores.

7.  Ken Burrow: Burrow was selected in the second round (33rd overall) by Atlanta Falcons in the 1971 draft. Burrow appeared in 64 games (61 starts) for the Falcons over five seasons.  His most productive year came as a rookie in 1971 when Burrow made 33 receptions for a career-high 741 yards and six touchdowns.

Four his career, Burrow made 152 catches for 2,668 yards and 21 touchdowns.

6.  Bill Staley: Staley was taken in the second round (28th round) by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1968 draft.  Staley played 49 games (21 starts) for the Bengals And the Chicago Bears over five seasons on the defensive line.

5. Clyde Brock: Brock was taken in the second round (20th overall) by the Chicago Bears in the 1962 draft. Brock played 24 games over two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers on the offensive line.

4.  MacArthur Lane: Lane was selected in the first round (13th overall) by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1968 draft.  Lane appeared in 133 games (79 starts) for the Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs.  One of his best seasons came in 1970 when Lane made his only Pro Bowl after he carried the ball 206 times for 977 yards and a league leading 11 touchdowns rushing.  That year Lane also added 32 receptions for 365 yards and two more touchdowns.

For his career, Lane finished with 4,656 yards and 30 touchdowns on 1,206 carries to go along with 287 catches for 2,786 and seven scores.

3.  Bill Munson: Munson was taken in the first round (seventh overall) by the Los Angeles Rams in the 1964 draft.  Munson appeared in 107 games (66 starts) over 16 seasons with the Rams, Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, San Diego Chargers and Buffalo Bills.  The most productive season of his career came with the Lions in 1968 when Munson started all 12 games he played in and completed 55 percent of his passes for 2,311 yards and 15 touchdowns.

For his career, Munson completed 54 percent of his passes for 12,896 yards and 84 touchdowns.  He also carried the ball 130 times for 548 yards and three scores.

2.  Phil Olsen: Olsen was selected in the first round (fourth overall) by the Boston Patriots in the 1970 draft.  Olsen appeared in 79 games (20 starts) for the Los Angeles Rams and the Denver Broncos on the defensive line.

1.  Merlin Olsen: Olsen was taken in the first round (third overall) by the Los Angeles Rams in the 1962 draft.  Olsen dominated the defensive line for 208 Games over 15 seasons with the Rams.  Olsen was named to the Pro Bowl 14 consecutive seasons from 1962-75.  He was also named first-team All-Pro five straight years from 1966-70.

For his remarkable career, Olsen was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1982.
