Davies had another career night as the 76ers dropped to 0-3 on the season with a 114-96 setback against the Miami Heat.
Chris Bosh paced five Heat players in double figures with 30 points on 9-of-17 shooting to go along with eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Mario Chalmers also had a big night with 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting, four assists and four steals. Luol Deng and Shawne Williams chipped in with 15 points a piece.
Philadelphia was led by Tony Wroten who registered 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor. He also contributed 10 assists and three rebounds for the undermanned Sixers.
Davies had his best individual scoring effort in his two-year career in the losing effort. He shot 7-of-9 from the floor, including 1-of-2 from beyond the arc and 3-of-4 from the free throw line on his way to a new career-high 18 points in just under 24 minutes of action. He also came away with three rebounds while tying a career best with three steals.
