The Cougar NBA tracker: Jimmer fredette, playoffs – game four

Behind a huge afternoon from Trevor Ariza and a double-double from John Wall, the Washington Wizards overcame the absence on Nene and outlasted the Chicago Bulls 98-89 on Sunday.  Ariza led the way for the Wizards with 30 points on 10-of-17 shooting including 6-of-10 from behind the arc to go along with eight rebounds and two steals.  John Wall added 15 points, 10 assists and a pair of steals for Washington as they extended their series lead to 3-1.  The Wizards also got solid efforts from Bradley Beal and Marcin Gortat who finished with 18 and 17 points respectively.

Taj Gibson was one of the very few bright spots for the Bulls in the loss.  He set a new career high with 32 points on 13-of-16 shooting from the field as well as grabbing seven rebounds.  Joakim Noah also had a nice game with 10 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and two blocks.  The only other Chicago player to score in double figures was Jimmy Butler who finished with 16 points on 5-of-14 shooting.  In fact, Bulls guards shot just 12 for 38 on the day.

Jimmer Fredette did not play for the fourth consecutive game in the series.  If he didn’t get minutes in a game where the Bulls were getting blasted chances are Jimmer won’t play at all in this series.
