The Kings got destroyed 129-103 on Tuesday night by the Houston Rockets behind a massive night from James Harden. Harden finished with 43 points in on the strength of 6-of-9 shooting from 3-point range in 31 minutes of play. He also added eight assists and three steals for good measure. Dwight Howard also played well in the blowout win. He registered 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting to go along with 11 rebounds, three assists and a pair of blocked shots. Four other Rockets scored in double figures on the night including Chandler Parsons who managed 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Rudy Gay led the way for Sacramento with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting as well as six assists. The Kings also got a solid night from DeMarcus Cousins in the loss. He tallied 16 points and six rebounds in just over 20 minutes on the floor.
Jimmer and the Kings are close to a buyout to make Fredette a free agent. If it goes through, the last game where Fredette played real minutes is a game where he scored his career-high 24 points while making six threes. Seems very much like a fitting end to his Kings career; seeting a career-high and then playing four minutes in three games.
