Thanks to a dominant performance from Evan Turner, the 76ers dispatched the Knicks 110-106 in New York on Wednesday night.
Turner scored 34 points on 13-of-22 shooting (including 3 for 3 from 3-point range) and 11 rebounds. Philadelphia also got a big night both from Thaddeus Young and Michael Carter-Williams even though neither shot well. Young put up 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals while Carter-Williams added 19 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and two steals.
Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 28 points on 6-of-8 shooting from 3-point range along with seven assists and two steals. New York also got solid contributions from Tyson Chandler, Iman Shumpert and Andrea Bargnani in defeat. Chandler registered 10 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks; Shumpart made 3-of-5 shots from 3-point range on his way to 19 points while grabbing eight rebounds and Bargnani added 20 points.
Brandon Davies missed his second straight game with an injured finger.
Philadelphia is back in action on Friday night as they head back home to face the Toronto Raptors.
