Thanks to some solid outside shooting from Spencer Hawes, Philadelphia slipped by the Bobcats 95-92 on Wednesday night.
Hawes made 3 of 6 shots from 3-point range and finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.
Evan Turner and Michael Carter-Williams also had solid all-around performances in the victory. Turner tallied 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Carter-Williams ended up with 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker led the way for Charlotte in the losing effort. Jefferson shot 11 for 20 from the floor and finished the contest with 24 points to go along with eight rebounds, four assists and two steals while Walker put up 26 points, eight assists, five rebounds and a pair of steals.
Brandon Davies played 10:50 and had a rough night. He went scoreless after missing his only field goal attempt while registering five fouls and committing two turnovers. Davies did grab two rebounds and hand out an assist as well.
Philadelphia is back in action on Friday night when the Miami Heat come to town.
