The Cougar NBA tracker: Jimmer Fredette, game 29

The Spurs scored 16 of the games last 20 points to escape with a hard-fought 112-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings.

The Spurs big three each had a huge impact in the victory.  Manu Ginobili led the way with 28 points on 9-for-16 shooting.  Tony Parker also shot the ball very well making 9-of-14 field goal attempts to finish the game with 22 points.  Parker also tied for the team lead with seven assists.  Although he didn’t have his best shooting night, Tim Duncan had a solid performance with 17 points and 13 rebounds.

The Kings were led by their own big three who all had at least 24 points in the loss.  DeMarcus Cousins led the way with 29 points and 14 rebounds while his front court mate Rudy Gay finished the night 24 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.  Isaiah Thomas may have had the best game of any King on the night.  He had 27 points on 10-For-17 shooting as well as nine assists and four rebounds.

Jimmer played 11:34 and made 2-of-3 field goal attempts to finish the contest with four points.  Fredette also registered two rebounds and handed out two assists for the 9-20 Kings.

Sacramento will be back in action on Tuesday night as they take on the Rockets in Houston.
