Christmas is about family, giving and as my wife says, the NBA.

When I saw the Christmas NBA television schedule, the Knicks vs. Thunder match-up was the one I was looking forward to the most.  That was long before we saw how the Knicks would play this year however.  They have struggled on so many levels that it’s almost hard to fathom.

Now that Carmelo is sidelined with injury, any appeal that this game once provided is now gone.

Without the battle between Melo and Durant this game will be nothing more than a distraction for me if I watch it in the regular way, so instead I’ve decided to track Kevin Durant.

What that means is that I will focus on KD whether he has the ball or not.

You learn a lot more about what kind of player someone is by watching that way and will make even the most terrible game much more interesting.
