Jimmer got time as the backup point guard as the Suns beat Sacramento 116-107.
Phoenix had six players in double figures led by a monster game from the Suns backcourt of Goran Dragic And Eric Bledsoe. Dragic finished the night with 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting to go along with four rebounds and three assists, while Bledsoe made 11-of-16 from the field on the way to 28 points. He also finished with eight rebounds, five rebounds and three steals.
The Kings were led by newly acquired Rudy Gay, DeMarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas.
In the first game in a Sacramento uniform for Gay, he shot 8-of-12 from the field and 8-for-9 from the free throw line to finish the night with 24 points.
Although Cousins had a brutal night from the field, he ended up with 15 points, 16 rebounds, five assists and five steals.
Thomas had a team-high 29 points to go along six boards, but had just two assists.
In the loss, Jimmer played just 5:31 and had two points on 1-of-2 shooting as well as a steal.
It was a little disappointing that he didn’t get some minutes at the two spot considering that Ben McLemore and Marcus Thornton combined for just seven points on 2-of-13 shooting.
The Kings will be back at home on Sunday to take on the 16-8 Houston Rockets.
