There is a talking head on local sports talk radio who said one of the most offensive things I have ever heard today.

While talking about the Jazz match-up with the Blazers tonight, he began to talk about Enes Kanter and how he played Santa Claus this morning to hand out gifts to underprivileged and sick kids.

Then he said that Kanter needed to let the organization handle that because he needed to get his mind right and focus on the game.

How can you say such a thing?  That is just disgusting on so many levels. When on almost a daily basis we hear about athletes you are accused of rape, assault, DUI’s and even murder you chose to knock a player for playing Santa Claus for a few hours.  What is wrong with you?

Kanter was exactly where he needed to be and I applaud him for it.  As a pro athlete he has a responsibility to give back and that’s what he was doing today.  He clearly understands that, while this clown on the radio just has no clue whatsoever.

I am about the biggest sports fan that you will ever find but I know you are totally wrong when you say crap like this.

There are more important things out there, and being able to put smiles on the faces of kids who generally don’t have a reason to have one has got to be right at the top of the list.

No longer will I listen to your show.  With thoughts like that, you don’t deserve my time!
