Not exactly how you want your career to end

I wonder how it must feel to be playing your last game as a BYU Cougar in LaVell Edwards stadium and have it be against a FCS school.  I completely understand that scheduling is very difficult for an independent, and that the Cougars didn’t want to have an extremely tough team to play between games at Wisconsin and at Notre Dame but this is just silly to me.

I would prefer if FCS schools never made it onto the schedule, but if they do it needs to be the first week of the season.  Any other time is completely unacceptable.

It’s great that just about every senior got to play in the Cougars blowout out win, but there is no value gained in blowing out a team that isn’t ever considered a quality opponent in their own conference. Even if you have to settle for a game with a low-end MAC, Conference USA or Sun Belt team it would be better than this.

All-time Cougar greats like Kyle Van Noy and Cody Hoffman and even the rest of the senior class deserve better than this for their last home game and we all know it.
